img_0376Hello from the Pittcon 2017 show floor in Chicago! There are so many fantastic things happening this year and I wanted to give you a little peek at the exciting new products and solutions in the Thermo Fisher Scientific booth #3021 (Are you at Pittcon? Stop by and say hello!).

I’ve been chatting with scientists, lab managers and thought leaders all day about the wants and needs of our customers. We know how important it is to have application-specific workflows anchored by analytical instruments that are easy to use, yet powerful. That’s what Thermo Fisher Scientific is all about! And this year we’re excited to introduce advanced instruments and tailored workflows at Pittcon that help our customers quickly and confidently turn samples into knowledge.

For instance, we’re highlighting expanded digital science capabilities that set new standards for cloud-enabled laboratory and scientific data management (a personal favorite!).

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention our exciting new addition of Core Informatics, which provides a leading cloud-based platform supporting scientific data management. Core’s capabilities include laboratory information management systems (LIMS), electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) technologies and scientific data management solutions (SDMS). They also offer an Application Marketplace to speed deployment and increase value for customers across a broad range of industries and scientific workflows. These new additions significantly enhance our existing informatics solutions and complement our cloud capabilities, which support the genetic analysis, qPCR and proteomics systems.
