One of our HPLC experts,Holger Franz, from our production and development site in Germering, Germany, sent this really helpful post listing all the HPLC troubleshooting tools that we have developed in the last year.
Isn’t it always that HPLC issues arise when you are already late? I can recall evenings when I desperately tried to dig to the root cause of an issue and finally gave up. Next morning, the issue was so obvious; I could fix it quickly and get the job done. Troubleshooting an intermittent HPLC problem challenges your creativity. Sometimes you need to step back and look at the issue from a different perspective. But even the toughest problems eventually get solved with a combination of persistence and technical acumen.
To help with this, I can recommend a number of tools described below.
Hang this complementary (and very popular) HPLC Troubleshooting Poster (link to order the poster) in your lab or office for quick and handy reference and fix the problem fast.
