Dr. Krisztina Radi was introduced to mass spectrometry while working on her master’s thesis in an analytical lab of a pharmaceutical company in Hungary. This is where her passion for analytical chemistry started, and after finishing her undergraduate studies she carried on learning about how it benefits pharmaceutical discovery. Discovering her interest in analysing biological molecules she left industry to pursue a PhD in Bioanalytical mass spectrometry and method development for clinical diagnosis of Haemoglobin disorders at the University of Warwick, in the United Kingdom. After gaining her PhD and working as a Postdoctoral research fellow, Krisztina returned to the pharmaceutical industry, joining a leading biopharmaceutical company and spent several years as an analytical scientist working on characterizing antibody drug conjugates with LC-MS. To broaden her horizons Krisztina joined the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency to work on standards for small molecule pharmaceuticals and strategies to develop valuable standards for biological medicines. Her passion for identifying mass spectrometry-based solutions to meet customer challenges in pharma and biopharma analytical labs led her to join the instrument manufacturing world. She is currently focused on developing powerful workflow solutions and delivering customer success for biotherapeutic research and drug development through Thermo Fisher Scientific innovative technology.
