Dr. Sachin Patil is a Staff Applications Chemist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, developing and promoting Ion Chromatography (IC) and IC-MS applications across different markets. Dr. Patil has over 18 years’ experience developing innovative and robust analytical methods to address complex technical challenges. While at Thermo, he has authored several application notes with special emphasis on HPAE-PAD (High Performance Anion Exchange Chromatography with Pulsed Amperometric Detection) and HPAE-MS methods for biopharmaceutical and oligosaccharide analysis. Prior to Thermo Fisher Scientific, he worked in the Bay area biotech industry developing robust, high throughput analytical methods for enzyme and microbial biocatalyst development. He is a published author on peer-reviewed articles and patents. He holds a PhD in Medicinal and Biological Chemistry from University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio. During his PhD, he designed a novel HD-exchange mass spectrometry method to study MHC Class1-peptide interactions. He also holds Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences from BITS, Pilani, India.
